We created the Cape Discovery range to pay homage to the founder and forefathers of those who landed at the Cape of Good Hope on 6 April 1652. Jan van Riebeeck was tasked with establishing a refreshment station for the VOC ships (the Dutch East India Company) on route to East Asia. This became known as Cape Town – The Tavern of the Seas.
